在英中兩種語言中，幾乎所有的詞類都可以相互轉(zhuǎn)換，有些甚至非轉(zhuǎn)換不可。因為英語中有些詞類在中文中并不存在，如冠詞、非謂語動詞（分詞、動名詞、不定式）等。詞類的轉(zhuǎn)換主要體現(xiàn)在名詞、介詞、動詞、形容詞、副詞等詞類的相互轉(zhuǎn)換上。

名詞的轉(zhuǎn)換

Every morning, she would go to the park for a walk.

每天早展，他都要去公園散步。(轉(zhuǎn)換成動詞)

介詞的轉(zhuǎn)換

At the meeting, some were for the proposal and others against it.

會上，有人贊成那個提議，有人反對那個提議。(轉(zhuǎn)換成動詞)

He never carried a gun and he was never in trouble.

形容詞的轉(zhuǎn)換

Little by little they went along the coast, making careful observation on the way.

他們慢慢地沿著海岸航行，一路仔細觀察。(轉(zhuǎn)換成副詞)

l will never forget his continuous encouragement when t was young.

我永遠也不會忘記在我小的時候,他總是不斷地鼓勵我。(同上)

I am so grateful to my teacher.
