1、In the Contract (as hereinafter defined) the following words and expressions shall have the meanings hereby assigned to them, except where the context otherwise requires:

合同翻譯中文是：在合同（如下文所定義的）中，下列用詞與詞句，除上下文另有要求者外，應(yīng)具備本款所賦予的含義。

2、“Employer” means the person named as such in Part II of these Conditions and the legal successors in title to such person, but not (except with the consent of the Contractor) any assignee of such person.

合同翻譯中文是：“業(yè)主”指本合同條件第二部分所指定的當(dāng)事人及取得此當(dāng)事人資格的合法繼承人，但除非承包商同意，不指此當(dāng)事人的任何受讓人。

3、“Contractor” means the person whose tender has been accepted by the Employer and the legal successors in title to such person, but not (except with the consent of the Employer) any assignee of such person.

合同翻譯中文是：“承包商”指其投標(biāo)書(shū)已為業(yè)主接受的當(dāng)事人及取得此當(dāng)事人資格的合法繼承人，但除非業(yè)主同意，不指此當(dāng)事人的任何受讓人。

4、“Subcontractor” means any person named in the Contract as a Subcontractor for a part of the Works or any person to whom a part of the Works has been subcontracted with the consent of the Engineer and the legal successors in title to such person, but not any assignee of any such person

合同翻譯中文是：“分包商”指合同中指定作為分包工程某一部分的分包商的任何當(dāng)事人，或者由工程師同意已將工程的某一部分分包給他的任何當(dāng)事人及取得該當(dāng)事人資格的合法繼承人，但不指此當(dāng)事人的任何受讓人。

5、“Engineer” means the person appointed by the Employer to act as Engineer for the purposes of the Contract and named as such in Part II of these Conditions.

合同翻譯中文是：“工程師”指業(yè)主為合同目的而指定作為工程師并在本條件第二部分中仍保持這一稱謂的人員。

6、“Engineer’s Representative” means a person appointed from time to time by the Engineer under Sub-Clause 2.2
